For Allergic Pet Owners With Allergies Improving the quality of
life of allergic dog and cat owners. Pet Allergy
Institute and Test Your Pet are a private organization dedicated to increasing knowledge and understanding of pet allergen
production in the hopes of learning how to control it. We have a laboratory which can measure the allergen produced
by dogs and cats using a simple saliva test. The test results will tell you how much allergen your pet produces compared to
other pets, and breeds helping you choose a hypoallergenic pet. The database of test results
will serve you to make better decisions regarding
pet selection, pet allergen control, and will guide further research.

| Breeds of Dogs and Cats produce varying amount of allergens |
To select a
hypoallergenic dog, cat, or breed, our test measures the allergen protein your pet produces, found in saliva and dust samples.
Can f1 and Fel d1 allergens cause allergy symptoms in allergic pet owners.

Dogs and cats produce
a protein which is found in their saliva and which coats their fur. People can develop an allergic reaction to this protein.
Breathing in the allergen triggers an allergic reaction in people that are sensitive to it. Not all animals produce the same
amount of protein. How much allergen your pet produces determines how allergenic your pet is.
Our
test measures the amount of protein allergy your dog or cat produces. We also test dust samples. The level of allergens in
your pet determines how allergenic they are. Test your breed of dog or cat to see if they are hypoallergenic.
